Ancient household codes typically told men what BOTH spouses should do; Paul doesn't

In typical ancient household codes, the man was told what both the man and woman should do. In Paul's instructions, women are told what women should do, men what men should do, children what children should do, etc. This reflects a Christian principle of taking full responsibility for your own role without obsessing over what others should be doing.
