Exegesis of Numbers 12
God affirms that Moses is unique among prophets — faithful in all God's house, receiving direct communication mouth to mouth. Miriam and Aaron are rebuked for challenging Moses. Miriam is struck with leprosy, Aaron begs Moses to intercede, Moses prays for healing. God commands Miriam be shut outside the camp for seven days. The people did not travel until she was brought back — but this was God's command, not the people's refusal.
