Paul's fifth argument: universal church custom (verse 16)

Verse 16: 'if one is inclined to be contentious, we have no other practice, nor have the churches of God.' Paul says anyone rejecting this practice is on their own -- every other church does it. This was literally first-century churches under direct apostolic influence, all in agreement. Mike distinguishes this from Roman Catholic or Orthodox claims about universal church practice which he says don't trace to the first century.
