Payne on verse 9: 'woman made for man' means sexual partnership -- creates a contradiction

All The Head Covering Debates (1 Cor 11): Women in Ministry part 10 03:30:34 – 03:32:05

Mike examines and refutes Payne's interpretation.

Payne's paraphrase: 'for man did not come from woman but woman from man to be his sexual partner; neither was man created for woman but woman for man to be his sexual partner.' This makes verse 9 say the same thing as verse 8 (absorbing it). Problem: if 'woman made for man' means she's his sexual partner, then 'man NOT made for woman' means he's NOT her sexual partner -- an instant contradiction.
