Mike's preferred view: holy angelic observers who delight in seeing God's order in worship
Mike presents his conclusion on the angels question.
Good angels are present during worship and want to see God honored with proper displays of his order. Supported by: (1) Jewish texts about angels at worship, (2) angels as consistent observers throughout OT and NT (unlike one-time lust event), (3) fits Paul's worship context (prayer/prophecy), (4) fits Paul's explicit concerns (honor, shame, headship, created order), (5) adds no new ideas not present in the passage. The only criticism: the phrase is vague -- but this is true of every interpretation.
