Boss teaching employees confirms 1 Timothy 2:12 is specifically about church/elder context

Everything Women Can and Can't Do According to the Bible: Women in Ministry part 13 01:55:29 – 01:57:01

Mike uses the boss example to confirm the limited scope of 1 Timothy 2:12.

It's normal for bosses to have both authority and to teach their employees. The Proverbs 31 woman probably oversaw vineyard work and taught men in her entrepreneurial context. This confirms 1 Timothy 2:12 ('I do not allow a woman to teach or have authority') is specifically in the church/elder context, because in the same epistles Paul talks about obeying earthly masters, some of whom were women.
